GA1 CERTIFICATION
The Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application – Forktrucks, Dumptrucks also mobile and crawler cranes) Regulations 2007 states that all Tracked Excavators, Telehandlers, Backhoe Loaders and Skid steers are to be six months or annually tested and certified with a GA1 Certificate, previous known as CR2/CR4.
JMH Services provides an extensive range of on-site examinations, inspections and testing to help you meet your obligations and comply with current legislation, and guidelines including;

Health and Safety Authority (HSA)
HSA Inspectors will require an up to date certificate of Thorough Examination to show that all relevant lifting equipment, plant and machinery has been thoroughly tested to ensure that it complies with the legislation.

The Process
The Test
Lifting Equipment Engineers will conduct onsite testing on all GA1 and Thorough Examination qualifying equipment from heavy to small plant. This includes testing on mobile cranes, crawler cranes, excavators, tele-handlers, forklift trucks, jacks, fire extinguishers, pallet racking, ladders etc.
Successful Completion
On successful completion of test you will receive a GA1 Certificate or Thorough Examination Report (Valid for 12 months or 6 months in the case of elevated platforms and scissor lifts) a copy of the test report and a sticker for display on your machine. Certificates can be printed and presented on site.
Non compliance
In the event that your machine does not comply with GA1 standards, a written report will be provided outlining the faults found.
